Terms

Three types of licence rights are available.

1 - Trademark licence: The use of the character as a picture or form on a product with a trademark.

2 - Promotion licence: It concerns a character's name, picture or form for a limited time in order to increase the sales of a product.

3 - Import and export licence: It is the use of a certain character or its picture on the product that is being imported or exported.

To Obtain the Licence :

The company which wants to obtain the licence defines the product for which the character is to be used, provides information about the minimum quantity of production, the wholesale price and distribution.

In the light of this information, a minimum guarantee is determined. This quantity indicates the minimum amount of products that the manufacturer may sell. Even if the manufacturer reaches a lower volume of sales, it still pays the licence fee that was determined as the minimum guarantee in the licence agreement.

The manufacturers that sell a higher volume, pay a certain commission of this surplus to the licencor company represented by Umut Sanat. This commission varying from 3 to 25 percent is determined in the licence agreement according to the type and the price of the product, to the quantity and category of manufacture. This commission is transferred to the licencor company.

Contracts are made for 1 or 2 years. For each product (notebook, T-shirt, linen, etc.) the licence is given to only one company.
